Rejoicing in every situation

I am in somewhat of a transition in my life at present. One chapter seems to be coming to a close but I don't know where the next one begins. This has brought with it more than a fair share of confusion and frustration. I feel as though I am to move on but where am I going?
We went to One Event at the Lincolnshire showground last weekend and I was moved by some incredible teaching and fantastic worship. God spoke to me about a number of things but one thing stood out more than any other.
During worship we sang a Bethel music song called Promises never fail. For those who have not heard it firstly I would say, search it up and give it a listen, but also here are some of the key lines that spoke so clearly into my situation.
"I know your thoughts, your plans for me are good. I know you hold my future and my hope. Your promises never fail.
I am standing on every promise that you make, I will see it come to pass in your name. Jesus I will trust every word I hear you say. I will see it come to pass in your name."
It was like these words just struck me right in my core and i was overcome with joy and laughter. I realised that despite my situation, my uncertainty, I could (and should) rejoice. I could rejoice because God has plans for my life. He has plans for my life that are good! He is the author and master of my future and I need not worry or fear for He is in control and His plans, His promises will come to pass.
As I have reflected on this in the 24 hours since returning home and spent time praying and worshipping God has reminded me of his word which says:
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
In times of uncertainty and confusion, when we feel lost and aimless we can rejoice because God is in control. He has plans for each one of us and those plans are so, so good. His plans will come to pass. Seek Him, spend time with Him, worship Him and rejoice because God is not lost or confused, He is not uncertain of anything and He will see you through.
